Interskate 91 is proud to partner with Autism Speaks to help raise awareness and funding for families living with Autism. Since Mid-March we have been collecting donations for ‘puzzle pieces’, you can see them hanging throughout the rink and we have raised over $650 at this point. Our goal is to sell 1,000 pieces and give all that money to Autism Speaks at a special skating event on April 30th. From 6pm to 8pm on that Thursday night, we will open for public skating and donate all admission money to the well known organization. The admission of only $4 gets you admission, skate rental, skate-mate rental and use of the playground. We are asking for your support, please come join us for this worthwhile event. Even if you don’t skate, your attendance will help. This will be a sensory sensitive atmosphere and there will be volunteers available to assist anyone who needs some help. Wheelchairs are always welcome at Interskate, since we all like to roll around!
Interskate 91 will present a check to Autism Speaks on the night of April 30th, please come to support and share your story. We all know someone that is affected by Autism. Several of our team members have family members on the spectrum, it hits close to home for us, and we want to help give back.
Thanks for reading, I’ll see you at the rink.
